Next Steps Checklist
Cal State Apply will reopen January 4 – 31 for Fall Transfer applicants to update their application with updated coursework and grades. All applicants are required to update their record with the most current academic information. Failure to do so may result in ones admission application being withdrawn.
Please note, this is only for Fall applicants and does not pertain to Spring applicants.
Associate Degree for Transfer (AS-T or AS-T) must be completed no later than:
- Spring term prior to Fall enrollment (for Fall admits)
- Summer term prior to Spring enrollment (for Spring admits)
Transfers are required to submit their Intent to Enroll and pay a $150 Enrollment Deposit (if applicable) by the below deadlines in order to complete the acceptance of the offer of admission:
Fall Admits – June 1
Spring Admits – November 15
The deposit will be applied to your first term’s tuition. For payment options visit Cashiering Services. Note: the Enrollment Deposit is non-transferable and non- refundable.
The Enrollment Deposit can be waived for students who received a Cal State Apply application fee waiver or you meet one of the below conditions:
- You qualify for an Athletic Scholarship.
- You are a military affiliated student using either Chapter 33 – Post 9/11 GI Bill or Chapter 31 – Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Program under the Department of Veterans Affairs. Please contact the Veterans Resource Center by e-mailing vetquestions@cpp.edu or calling 909-869-6994.
If you are eligible for an Enrollment Deposit fee waiver you will not be prompted to pay when submitting your Intent to Enroll.

Failure to submit your Intent to Enroll and pay the Enrollment Deposit (if applicable) by the stated deadlines may result in your application being withdrawn.
Financial Aid Offer notifications are anticipated to begin mid-April.
The priority deadline for 2024-2025 has been extended to May 2, 2024!
Cal Poly Pomona’s school code is 001144.
- Visit studentaid.gov to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, the application for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents.
- Visit dream.csac.ca.gov to complete the California Dream Act Application, the application for undocumented & nonresident students who qualify for a non-resident exemption under Assembly Bill 540 (AB 540). to receive certain types of financial Aid.

Non-Electronic Transcripts
Should these services not be available, have your institution send the transcripts in a sealed, unopened envelope directly to:

Do not open transcripts, otherwise they will be considered unofficial and we will not be able to accept them. After we receive your transcript please allow 2 to 3 weeks for processing time.
To make sure transcripts are received on time, transcripts should be ordered as soon as an admission decision has been made.
Failure to submit official transcripts by the stated deadlines may result in your application being withdrawn.
Admitted transfer students are required to attend mandatory orientation.
Fall Admits – Registration will open on May 1 and close June 3.
Spring Admits – Registration will open on October 28 and will close November 18

The 2024-2025 Housing Application is scheduled to open for all admitted students on February 29. Those in need of, or interested in, on-campus housing are encouraged to apply early.

Please send scores earlier if available to ensure timely processing of your credits and course enrollment.
Advanced Placement (AP)
- Official college transcripts that include your AP scores can be used to receive credit.
- You can also send scores online through College Board if scores are not indicated on your college transcripts. Please note, if your last AP exam was taken over four years ago, College Board has archived your scores which means scores can only be sent via mail. If your scores have been archived, please request them from College Board as early as possible to ensure timely receipt of official scores.

The Bronco Card is the official Cal Poly Pomona photo identification card for all Cal Poly Pomona faculty, staff, students and affiliates. It can also be used for dining services and convenience store locations, as well as access to campus services, buildings, and laboratories.
