Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)

Non-Resident Tuition Discount

Cal Poly Pomona is proud to offer the WUE program (pronounced "woo-wee"). This program allows admitted students from participating Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) states to pay reduced tuition fees (150% of  CPP's regular tuition rate).

WUE Recipients

Cal Poly Pomona applicants who are residents of Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) states are automatically considered for WUE. No additional application is necessary. Program recipients are selected based on their academic profile and will be notified via e-mail.

Applicants from the following states and territories participate in the WUE: Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

Cal Poly Pomona notifies recipients via e-mail if they have been selected.

The is no supplemental application that needs to be submitted to be considered for the WUE.

The WUE program will be given up to two years for transfer students and up to four years for first time freshman. If graduation requirements cannot be met in that time frame, the student will have to pay non-resident tuition for any semesters after their allotted two or four years.

To continue to qualify for the WUE program, students must maintain non-resident status. If I student is able to and chooses to change their residency, they will no longer qualify for the WUE award.
