Important Dates

Dec 15, 2024 - Last day for Residents to be in room space
All residents must be out of their space by 5:00pm, unless you have an approved Stayover from University Housing Services.

Dec 15, 2024 - No access to buildings
Residents will not have access to their buildings or room space after 5:00pm.
End of Fall Semester
Winter Closure refers to the end of Fall Semester where residents return home for the six (6) week break, but plan to return to UHS for the Spring 2025 semester. Winter Move-Out refers to residents who will not be returning to UHS for the Spring 2025 semester and will be checking out/moving out of their assigned space.
Winter Closure
Residents must be out of their space by December 15, 2024 at 5:00pm for the six (6) week break. All residential buildings will be locked after Sunday, December 15th and residents will not have access to their space. All residents should take important items home such as room keys, documents, medicine, clothes, any toiletries needed. If you need to stay past December 15, 2024, you need to submit a Stayover Request with University Housing Services. Please note: if you will be returning in Spring 2025 and living in UHS, you do not and should not check-out of your space.
Winter Move Out
Residents who will not be returning for the Spring 2025 semester will check-out and move-out of their room space by December 13, 2024. All residential buildings will be locked after Sunday, December 15th and residents will not have access to the building or room space. In addition, you must submit a petition to cancel in order to not be charged fees for Spring 2025. Room and shared spaces should be clean, free of damage, and all items removed.
Spring 2025 Move Out
All Residents must move out of their space by Friday, May 16, 2025 at 5:00pm. Access to all residential buildings will expire at 5:30pm. If you will be staying with us for the summer, please refer to your Cal Poly Pomona email for further instructions regarding moving from your academic year space to your summer space.
Summer 2025
For more information about living with University Housing Services during summer 2025, please complete a Summer Application in your Housing Portal. The Summer Application will be available in your Housing Portal starting in March 2025.

Clean Space
Clear out all items from room and/or shared spaces

Complete Yellow Check-Out Envelope
Fill out a yellow check-out envelope located at the front desk of each building, the 74 Secoya Housing Office, or 59 La Cienega Housing office. Traditional Halls: There should be 2 keys put inside the yellow check-out envelope: your building key and room key. Suites: There should be a card and key put inside yellow check-out envelope: your green resident dip card and room key. Residential Halls: There should be no Bronco ID card put inside the yellow check-out envelope, but the envelope must be completed in full.

Turn In Check-Out Envelope
Once appropriate keys are placed inside the yellow check-out envelope, seal the envelope closed and return the envelope to one of the following: Housing Office Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm Green Check-Out Box Monday through Sunday after 5:00pm at your building's front desk Note: Failure to properly turn in the yellow check-out envelope will result in an Improper Check-Out Fee.
