About the Program
Transfer Bridge (TB) is a FREE comprehensive, two-day summer transition program designed to assist Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) transfer students in transition from community college to the university setting by providing a wide range of educational, personal, social, and cultural enrichment opportunities.
We understand our EOP transfer students come to Cal Poly Pomona with unique lived experiences and a wealth of knowledge and skill sets yet transitioning to a new college environment can be intimidating. In just two days, students will be provided with campus resources, community connections, and additional support services that will enhance their skills and success as a Cal Poly Pomona Bronco.
Program Model
This summer we have the opportunity to offer two program models to best address the ever changing needs of our EOP transfer students. We are providing an In-Person and Virtual program model. In the Transfer Bridge application, students will get to select the modality you would prefer to attend Transfer Bridge. However, we ask that once admitted you fully commit to the modality you selected.
In-Person Program Model
Program Dates: July 31 - August 1
In-Person Program Schedule: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm at Cal Poly Pomona
Includes:
- Meals at Centerpointe:
- Day 1: Breakfast snacks, Lunch, and Dinner
- Day 2: Breakfast snacks, Lunch, and Dinner (dinner will be at Kellogg West)
- School Supplies and EOP Swag Items
- Participation in the TB Closing Ceremony Celebration
Additional Resources upon request:
- Parking permit
- Overnight stay in Residence Hall
- Childcare services with the Children's Center for children 18 months - 5 years old during normal business operating hours
Virtual Program Model
Program Dates: July 31 - August 1
Virtual Program Schedule: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm via Zoom
Includes:
- EOP swag items to be distributed in the fall term

By participating in Transfer Bridge, students will get a head start in their college journey, build support systems with faculty, staff, and peers, and gain essential skills that will facilitate their transition and success at Cal Poly Pomona. Program Eligibility: How am I eligible for Transfer Bridge?
Eligible incoming EOP transfer students are invited to learn more about Transfer Bridge via email in early July and are provided with additional information regarding our program application process.
In order to be eligible to apply to Transfer Bridge, students must:
1. Must be admitted to both CPP and EOP
2. Be available to attend all program dates.
TB 2024 Program Dates: July 31st - August 1st
Applicants must commit to either the In-Person OR Virtual Program Model and be available to participate in all program components, unless excused by the program staff.
3. Must have attended CPP Orientation Session prior to Transfer Bridge program dates.
Application Steps: How can I apply to Transfer Bridge?
To be fully considered, all EOP and Transfer Bridge program deadlines and applications steps must be met:
1. Submit TB Application by July 1st , 2024 at 12:00 pm (noon)
- Application Opens: June 4th at 8:00am
- Application Closes: July 1st @ 12:00pm (Noon)
- If admitted, applicants must "accept" or "denied" their participating by completing the TB Participation Confirmation form by July 8, 2024 at 12:00pm (Noon).
