EOP Program Eligibility
To qualify for admission to the Educational Opportunity Program at CPP, a student must:
- Be an undergraduate student and meet the EOP Income Guidelines
- Fall 2025 Applicants: 2025-2026 EOP Income Guidelines
- Be a first-time applicant to the CSU System.
- First-generation college student (No parent/guardian has a 4-year bachelor's degree).
- Demonstrate potential for success and be motivated to achieve his or her educational goals.
- Be a California resident or an AB 540/2000 nonresident tuition exemption student.
- Enroll as a full-time student (at least 12 units per term).
- All majors are welcome to apply.

How to Apply to EOP
Complete the EOP application by the priority deadline of Nov. 30, 2024.
Applicants must complete the EOP portion of the application, including:
- Two names and email addresses for the letters of recommendation
- Autobiographical portion of the EOP sections
Note: Final deadline to complete the EOP application to Cal Poly Pomona is January 15, 2025. The final deadline for recommenders to submit electronic EOP recommendation forms is January 31, 2025. We strongly recommend that you ask your reccomenders if they will be able to meet the letters of recommendation deadline.
Decisions will be made on a rolling basis. For the Fall 2025 class, the deadline to submit the EOP Participation Agreement is June 1st, 2025.
The 2025–26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) and California Dream Act Application (CADAA) forms will be available to the public on or before Dec. 1, 2024.
The priority deadline for the FAFSA and CADAA is typically March 2nd of each cycle. For the 2025-26 cycle only, the priority deadline in California will be March 3rd, 2025 due to March 2nd, 2024 falling on the weekend. We encourage that you complete your financial aid application as soon as possible before the deadline and to review their respective websites for updates.
Please make sure to add Cal Poly Pomona's schoo code (001144) to your financial aid application, otherwise, your financial aid application will not be received by CPP.
Which application should I file?
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen (i.e., Permanent Resident)
- CA Dream Act Application (CADAA)

- You must not meet eligibility criteria to file a FAFSA
- You must meet the conditions of California AB540 status
- You must not hold a valid non-immigrant visa (F, J, H, L, A, B, C, D, E, etc.).
