All youth summer residential and day programs, hosted by the College of the Extended University, are organized and managed by trained and experienced staff that has a passion for working with youth. Programs are coordinated by our Program Associate – Emeritus who has more than 20 years experience at Cal Poly Pomona. Our Support Staff consists of former and current Cal Poly Pomona undergraduate and graduate students and working professionals.

Our Support Staff assists instructors in the classroom, provides academic tutoring before and after class, conducts recreational and social activities, and supervises residential groups 24/7 in the Residence Halls. 

All youth program personnel undergo Live Scan fingerprint screening as well as California Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) background check and criminal history clearances. In addition, all staff must undergo tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to employment. Many of our Support Staff and instructors are also CPR trained and First Aid certified.
