Undergraduate Research
In the Department of Sociology at CPP, students have the opportunity to get involved in creating and supporting basic research by joining an established faculty lead research team/project or exploring your own topic while working with a faculty research mentor.
What are the benefits of getting involved in research outside the classroom? Engaging in research, students advance their knowledge and skills on applying sociological perspectives and empirical methods to an assigned or selected research topic.
Student Research Examples. CPP Sociology/Criminology Students who worked in research teams or conducted their own research projects have showcased their work at Academic Conferences, the Lowell Overton Undergraduate Research Symposium, in CPP Bronco Scholar, or at other CPP-CSU research events.
