These new faculty bring intellectual diversity to our department, possessing a range of timely research interests, which include educational inequalities faced by Latina high school students (Dr. Haro), gender and intimate partner violence (Dr. Gerstenberger), indigenous resurgence and health outcomes among Mexican Americans (Dr. Zermeño), anti-racism and youth civic engagement (Dr. Rodriguez-Newhall), and the impact of race and gender on Black women in ballet (Dr. Robinson).
