Audition Submission Deadline Extended
Admissions has sent us their lists! Due to the slight delay in receiving this information we have extended our deadlines for audition submissions.
AUDITIONS for all new students will be virtual, due by 11:59 pm, March 6, 2022 for first-time freshmen, and 11:59 pm, March 13, 2022 for transfer students. All BA students auditioning for scholarship and studio placement, deadline 11:59 pm, March 27, 2022.
Music students at Cal Poly Pomona audition for specific purposes:
- Admission to the Bachelor of Music programs (performance option, composition option, and pedagogy option) and scholarship support

General Audition Calendar
Four general departmental auditions are held each year. Each hears multiple kinds of presentations, such as entrance auditions, jury auditions, upper-division auditions, auditions for studio and change-of-option auditions.
August “Fall-Conference” Audition

Held on Wednesday afternoon, the day before classes begin

Primarily for studio-placement auditions
December “Fall Semester” Juries and Audition

Held during finals week of Fall semester

Signup sheets are posted outside the main office for the two weeks prior
Spring “Applicant” Audition
- Held in late January/early February
- For incoming freshmen and transfer applicants
- Students are emailed links to sign up for audition times
- Scholarship eligibility, as well as entrance qualification, will be assessed
- Online video-posting is an option for those unable to be there in person
May “Spring Semester” Juries and Audition
- Held during finals week of Spring semester
