Spring 2025 Admission

Fall 2025 Admission

• CSU Application Deadline: November 30, 2024
• Audition Date: January 25, 2025

Make sure to complete your application and submit all required materials by the specified deadlines.

General Requirements

• You must perform two contrasting pieces that showcase your technical skills and musicality.
• Sight-reading and technical exercises may be requested during the audition.
• Specific requirements vary by instrument and program.

Performance Majors

• Instrumentalists
  • Two pieces in contrasting styles. One piece should demonstrate technical proficiency, and the other should highlight musical expression.
• Vocalists
  • Two contrasting songs, including one classical piece and one piece of your choice.

Composition Majors

Submit a portfolio of 2-3 original compositions in addition to performing one piece on your primary instrument.

Pedagogy (Pre-Credential) Majors

Two contrasting pieces on your primary instrument or voice, and a brief interview about your interest in teaching.
