The Hannover International Summer School of Economics and Management (HISSEMA) is in its thirteenth year of operation. Up to now, over 200 international students, especially from the United States, have participated in the HISSEMA. The program is completely conducted in English. Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) has over 23,000 students. Its School of Economics and Management is one of the top ranked in Germany.
About the Program
Earn credits in Economics and Business Management:
- The German Economy and the European Union
- International Management and Economics
- German Culture, Business and Language
Courses taught by local faculty. Students have fewer contact hours with professors than they would have in the US. Students are expected to do extensive research and reading outside of class.
Students pay regular Cal Poly Pomona summer tuition. Students are responsible for all additional travel and living costs. Financial-Aid is transferrable.

- Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance.
- Requires a 2.75 GPA, good academic standing.
- Sophomore, Junior or Senior standing at the time of departure.
