Become a Global Ambassador
Are you a Study Abroad returnee and wish to share your experience with other students? Are you an International Student enrolled at CPP that is interested in sharing your experience and culture? The Global Ambassador Program might be the place for you!
Being a Global Ambassador is an exciting opportunity that empowers students to build on their global experience(s). Your participation as a Global Ambassador will help you:
- Promote a global understanding with domestic and international communities;
- Dispel misconceptions about other countries and have a chance to share your culture with others;
- Make new friends and learn about new cultures;
- Strengthen intercultural communication, leadership and presentation skills;
- Share your international experience(s) and advocate for Study Abroad.
- Give a presentation about your program at the International Center or other campus locations
- Serve as a resource for CPP students interested in study abroad opportunities
- Assist and participate in events (campus fairs, study abroad booths, International Education Week, Study Abroad Showcase)
- Do weekly on-campus marketing (i.e. tabling, pass out/post flyers, e-mail blasts, etc.)
- Participate in study abroad information sessions (Study Abroad 101)
In addition, all Global Ambassadors give a 2-minute pitch about their Study Abroad experience or host university at each of their courses during the current term.
- Have prior experience studying, living, or working/interning abroad;
- Be enrolled as a part-time student;
- Be reliable and responsible;
- Be friendly, personable, and willing to share stories with others;
- Are motivated by intercultural exchanges and a desire to develop cultural self-awareness
- Participate in regular Global Ambassador meetings to plan and discuss activities with the GA Leads;
- Represent themselves and the Office of Study Abroad in a professional manner;
- Commit to a minimum of 3 events/activities per semester
