Bio:
Dr. Niké St. Clair, a native of Hungary, holds B. M. and M. M. degrees in Music Education, Music Theory and Choral Conducting from the Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest, Hungary as well as M. M. and D. M. A. degrees in Choral Conducting from USC.
At Cal Poly Pomona, Dr. St. Clair directs the Kellogg Chamber Singers, University Concert Choir, teaches Musicianship and Choral Conducting courses. She is the Sanctuary Choir director at the La Verne Church of the Brethren. Dr. St. Clair is on faculty at Azusa Pacific University where she teaches Hungarian Kodály-based Musicianship courses.
Beyond her teaching and directing duties, Dr. St. Clair sings as an ensemble artist in the Los Angeles Master Chorale (LAMC) where she is often featured as a soloist (Israel in Egypt, Alexander's Feast, Messiah, Bach's Magnificat, St. John and St. Matthew's Passion, B-Minor Mass, Stravinsky's Les Noces),performing in Walt Disney Concert Hall. With LAMC, she frequently performs with the LA Philharmonic and Hollywood Bowl Orchestra as well. She is a sought after oratorio concert soloist. She has sung with Concordia Masterworks, Santa Barbara Master Chorale, Los Angeles Chamber Choir and Orchestra, and Angeles Chorale.
As a SAG-AFTRA member, she sings on movie soundtracks:Star Wars 8; Avatar; Big Hero 6; Wreck-It Ralph; Transformers; Godzilla; X-Men; Pixels; Les Minions; Hail, Caesar; Despicable Me and many others.
