MISSION STATEMENT
After a hiatus of nearly two decades, a new generation of Mariachi Los Broncos de Pomona took the stage in January 2016 under the direction of ethnomusicologist Dr. Jessie M. Vallejo. Los Caballeros de Cal Poly Pomona was formed in 2016-2017 in response to the high level of student interest in performing mariachi music. Both mariachi ensembles are composed of students who represent our diverse Bronco community and join us from various majors and departments across campus. Our mission is to promote tolerance, respect, and solidarity through musical expression and artistry.
