ECS Practicum Orientation

This orientation is required for all students who wish to take ECS 2100/2100A and/or ECS 4100/4100A. At the end of the orientation, the link to the Practicum application will be given. This site can be used at any time in any semester, however there is a hard due date for applications to be considered for the next semester:

The due dates for practicum application will remain the same each year:

For placement in the Spring semester, applications are due September 1.

For placement in the Fall or Summer semesters, applications are due February 1.

Late applications will not be accepted. 

Required Clearance Documentation

  1. A valid, non-expired, CTC-issued Certificate of Clearance or Child Development Permit is required.  Details are included on the application and in links below.
  2. Childhood vaccination verification is also required. Booster shots for Tdap must fall within 10 years and remain valid through the entire practicum semester.
  3. TB Clearance cannot be older than 1 year from the time your practicum semester ends
  4. Flu shot verification or a decline statement (available in the canvas orientation) must be submitted.
  5. Completion of relevant coursework requirements are listed on the practicum application.

 **Completing the Canvas orientation is only the first step to a complete practicum application. If you complete this orientation on the application due date, you WILL NOT make the deadline. It is suggested students complete this Orientation at least one month before the application deadline.

If you already applied and need to request a change to the start term or to withdraw your application completely, please click on the relevant link below. You should receive a response from the Credential Services Office within 24-48 hours.
