Congressional Art Competition

In light of recent events, this year's art competition will honor those who have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic as students submit their artwork from home. Together we can: stay creative, stay strong, stay home.
How to Enter:
1. High School Students MUST reside in the Congressional District, CA32
2. Submit your Art at: https://torres.house.gov/art-competition-form
*** Please note, by submitting your work, you are abiding by the 2020 Student release form
3. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: May 22nd by 5PM
4. Vote for your art here on Facebook
Starting May 25th contestants with the MOST likes on May 29th by 5PM will be determined the winner.
Artwork Guidelines:
Artwork must be two-dimensional. Each framed artwork can be no larger than 26 x 26 x 4".
Accepted mediums for the two-dimensional artwork are as follows:
• Paintings: oil, acrylics, watercolor, etc
• Drawings: colored pencil, pencil, ink, marker, pastels, charcoal (It is recommended that charcoal and pastel drawings be fixed.)
• Collages: must be two-dimensional
• Prints: lithographs, silkscreen, block prints
• Mixed Media: use of more than two mediums such as pencil, ink, watercolor, etc.
• Computer-generated art
• Photographs

Announcement of the winner will be posted on May 30th at 5PM
Prizewinner receives a free trip to Washington D.C. & artwork is displayed for one year at the U.S. Capitol.
