Stall Cleaners

The W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center employs several students as stall cleaners. Each stall cleaner is assigned a set of stalls to maintain. These stalls may be cleaned at the student’s convenience during normal business hours. Grooms

The training staff of the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center employ a select number of students as grooms. Student grooms perform all of the tasks necessary to keep the training barn running. In order to be qualified for a groom position, a student should be comfortable with handling Arabian show horses, clipping and bathing, tacking, and performing simple ground work. Students support special exhibitions. Grooms are paid for up to 20 hours of work per week and minimum academic standards must be maintained. Positions are limited. Live-In Positions

Accommodations are available for five live-in students at the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center. Students who are selected for live-in positions are expected to assist with daily feeding and cleaning, foaling and breeding, care of sick or injured horses, and other various tasks as assigned. Prior horse experience is necessary and previous involvement at the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center is preferred.
