Intent to Submit a Proposal
An Intent-to-Submit is required to inform the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs if you intend to apply for Extramural Funding. NOTE: information provided below does not have to be complete or final.
You must complete your Intent-to-Submit at least 30 days prior to the submission deadline.*
The earlier that we receive your Intent-to-Submit, the better we can assist you. Intents-to-Submit received during the week are assigned to an ORSP team member on Wednesdays (at our weekly 10 am ORSP team meeting). Soon thereafter, you will receive an email with your assigned ORSP team member, a proposal number, and other proposal information.
In the case of Limited Submission announcements, the University will review competing proposals to determine which one best serves the university’s strategic plan. To learn more about Limited Submissions visit the webpage: Limited Submission Opportunities
*If you are submitting a subaward, your Intent-to-Submit must be received at least 30 days prior to the Prime Awardee's deadline for receipt of your documents.
