Frequently Asked Questions

There is no registration fee.

We will not be able to pay for your hotel costs if you stay elsewhere.

Up to $750 of allowable expenses can be reimbursed.

  • Family members (broadly defined) or guests are welcome but are responsible for all their own expenses.
  • Pets are not allowed. Registered service animals are welcomed.

  • When you complete the registration form please indicate your requirements when asked.
  • Please let the retreat team know of any special needs you have.

We encourage you to be fully vaccinated and to wear a mask as you wish. See covid and other health & safety policies.

Your comfort is the most important consideration – appear as you wish! In general, the Retreat will be on the casual end of business casual, with just a touch dressier for our final celebration dinner on Wednesday, July 10th.

Bring your personal laptop and/or other devices along with power supply (ample electrical outlets will be available).

Bring your re-usable travel mug, re-fillable water bottle, etc. We would like to reduce plastic and paper waste as much as possible.

See the Asilomar Activities page for information about weather, activities, and so forth that can help you prepare. Remember this is a beach climate.

Asilomar Conference Grounds is a non-smoking facility. This includes all buildings, public rooms and restrooms.

Complimentary wireless internet access is available in all guest rooms and the Social Hall. Ask the Front Desk for username and password. To preserve the retreat atmosphere at Asilomar, there are no telephones in the guest rooms. House phones are located at each building for in-house calls, and public telephones are located throughout the grounds and in the Phoebe A. Hearst Social Hall. Cell phones work in the area.
