Black History Month - 2024
Black History Month is an annual celebration of the achievements of Black people throughout history. The BRC hosts a variety of programs that focused on culturally engaging spaces for Black students, elevating Black identities/lived experiences, and showcasing the current achievements of Black students.

Black History Spirit Week
The BRC is kicking off February with Black History Spirit Week and encouraging students to show up and show out!

- Feb. 6: Make Me Like Mike: Flyest Sneakers
- Feb. 7: Who You With: Jersey Day
- Feb. 8: Back to Business: Business Casual
- Feb. 9: BET's Finest: Favorite Celebrity
'The League' Documentary and Lecture Series
Feb. 6 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the University Theatre. Bryon Motley, producer of 'The League' comes to campus for a special screening of the documentary, which chronicles the story of his father, Bob Motley, a Negro League umpire. A discussion and Q&A will follow.
Dropping GEMS: JD Dantzler
Feb. 8 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the Black Resource Center. JD serves as the EDI and BSR coordinator within University Housing Services and is committed to serving Black students and confronting anti-Blackness to create inclusive spaces to discover, create, and thrive.
A Taste of Black History with CPP Dining
Feb. 13 from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Centerpointe Dining Commons. Celebrate southern soul dishes with the CPP jazz band.
Cooking Demonstration with College of Ag
Feb. 15 from 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. Stop by the Don B. Huntley College of Agriculture (Bldg. 7) for a special soul food cooking demonstration.
Limitless Recess
Feb 22. from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. Stop by the grass field in front of the BRIC and near Bronco Commons for outdoor fun.
