Volunteers

This process is for Student Affairs departments only. Volunteers are managed by Risk Management and for further information please refer to https://www.cpp.edu/rms/risk-management-programs/volunteers.shtml.

  • Definition
    • A Volunteer is an individual who performs work or provides services without compensation for a semester, academic year, calendar year, session or any part thereof, not to exceed one year. Volunteers should not replace or supplant the work performed by employees (represented or non-represented) and may not be used in full-time, long-term assignments.

 

  • Volunteer Information
    • All volunteers are required to fill out the Volunteer Identification Form. This will include identifying a summary of assignments and duties.
    • Volunteers are required to have a background check.
    • Any volunteers driving on the behalf of the University are required to take Defensive Driver Training.

 

 

All Volunteer Identification Forms must be kept on file.
