Poster-Printing Protocol
Please see the guidelines below. All poster printing through the Biology Department must be submitted online only. Submissions via email or in person will not be accepted. Online submissions will serve as the official notification that you need a poster printed.
Posters require a minimum of two full business days to be printed. Printing requests for multiple posters may require more than two business days to be processed. Please plan submissions accordingly.
Please complete the Poster Submission Form and click Submit when you are finished. All fields marked * are required for submission.
Who can participate?
- Biology Department faculty, staff and students presenting research associated with Cal Poly Pomona.
Poster Printing Guidelines

To save on printing costs, if you already have a poster that is suitable for presentation, do not make a new one.

It is recommended that you use the PowerPoint Poster Template provided for research conferences.

Please set the dimensions before constructing the slide. Set the dimensions of the poster at 41 inches x 41 inches. Poster size will be limited to 41 inches x 56 inches in either aspect (portrait or landscape).

Text, graphs, charts, pictures, graphics should have a minimum 0.5 inch margin on all sides of the poster.

PowerPoint files should be saved to a PDF format and be submitted online. Please name poster PDF file as: LastName_FirstName_Conference

Prepare a draft of the poster and obtain input from colleagues before the meeting to help make a well-organized, informative, and effective poster.

Poster printing will require your research advisor’s approval during submission.

After your poster is printed, you will be contacted via email that your poster is ready to be picked up at the Biology Stockroom.
- Individual poster submissions will be printed at no fee. Requests for reprints due mistakes (formatting, text, graphs, etc.) caught after printing will not be accepted. Please review posters thoroughly prior to submitting for printing. For reprints, alternate arrangements must be made with local vendors for a fee.
