Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Program
Cal Poly Pomona Risk Management is committed to supporting the safe usage of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)/Drones for instructional, research, and work related tasks while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations. The UAS/Drone Program ensures compliance to these laws/policies and protects personnel, animals, property and the environment on and off campus. All personnel, including faculty, staff, students and third parties/contractors wishing to operate drones on Cal Poly Pomona property, or as part of a Cal Poly Pomona activity (instructional, research, student organization), must request approval prior to flight.
