PolyTransfer Advantage Summer Academy

2024 Academy: June 27-29

The PolyTransfer Advantage Summer Academy Program is designed for prospective transfer students to develop a sense of belonging to Cal Poly Pomona (CPP) through engagement with their peers, CPP faculty, staff, and resources as well as guided support in applying to a California State University (CSU). Through participation in this program, prospective transfer students will enhance their critical inquiry skills for applying to a CSU while participating in collaborative learning experiences for career and major pathways. 

Upon completion of the PolyTransfer Advantage Summer Academy Program, individuals will receive continued transfer support, access to transfer resources and services, as well as application assistance during the CSU application period.

Learning Outcomes

  • Students will be able to identify CSU transfer requirements
  • Students will develop a sense of belonging within Cal Poly Pomona and the PolyTransfer Advantage Program  
  • Students will develop a transfer support network comprised of peers, staff, and faculty from diverse backgrounds  
  • Students will be able to reflect on their career and major goals

Requirements to Join

Current community college students are able to participate in the Summer Academy if they meet the following requirements:  

  • Must complete a Summer Academy application form 
  • Must be enrolled with a California Community College and able to provide a student ID 
  • Must be interested in applying for transfer to a California State University (CSU) 
  • Must be available from Thursday, June 27 through Saturday, June 29th 

Note: Staying overnight is not mandatory but recommended for a full-program experience.
