Advancing Inclusive Mentoring (AIM) Program
Faculty have tremendous influence in the lives of students, especially those for whom higher education has historically been less welcoming and supporting. We can make even more positive differences by embedding inclusive practices in our mentoring relationships with students.
The Advancing Inclusive Mentoring Program (AIM) developed by Dr. Kelly Young at CSU Long Beach, supported by a grant from the National Institutes of Health, is a "book club" style professional development experience offered via Canvas and Zoom. Over a period of 6 to 8 weeks, faculty watch carefully crafted, well produced videos in 6 modules (a small online quiz is completed for accountability), and have weekly collegial discussions about their own mentoring practices and changes they plan to make to serve students better.
If interested in participating in the AIM Program, please fill out the survey below to indicate which dates you are interested in attending.
