About the Exhibition
While the region's postwar residential architecture is highly celebrated, less recognized are the innovations in construction technology and materials that made such developments possible. Cal Poly Pomona explores the link between new building techniques and pioneering modern design in several iconic houses, including a technical examination of the thermal performance of these residences a timely topic for architectural practice today. This exhibition is brought to the visitors and community of CalPoly by a grant from the Getty as part of Pacific Standard Time a SoCal-wide Getty Project.
