Metal & Wood: The Art of Reclaiming and Repurposing showcases the sculpture of two artists, Fred Rose and William Fillmore, who independently incorporate the use of recycled and/or reclaimed metal and wood, respectively, and in doing so, make interesting, humorous and metaphorical observations about mankind, and the world we live in. Exhibited in conjunction with Ink & Clay 40 at the Kellogg University Art Gallery; and Poems, Folklore and Ghost Stories: Tales My Firewood Told Me, The Woodwork of Fred Rose at the Huntley Gallery, respectively. This exhibition is a re-inauguration of Sculpture Garden Courtyard with new annual programming of rotating, temporary outdoor exhibits that highlight the 'green' uses of materials to create provocative art.
