Persian Visions: Contemporary Photography from Iran features 58 works by 20 of Iran's most celebrated photographers. With an emphasis on the individual directions and concerns of the participating artists, this exhibition offers a view of contemporary Iran as filtered through the lense
of artistic expression and individual sensibilities. Characterized by superb artistry, the works in Persian Visions form a rich selection of photographs and video installations that express the participating artists' personal perspectives on varied aspects of contemporary life. Interests and issues of both a public and private nature are addressed, resulting in a compelling exhibition that touches upon the many themes that impact us all: family, history, place, mortality, language and memory.
