Poster Contest Submission Deadline Sept. 22

Cybersecurity is always changing, with new threats and technologies constantly emerging. This contest aims to help you learn more about cybersecurity by engaging with your peers. By participating in the poster contest, you can improve your communication skills, which will be valuable for future projects, engage with industry leaders, lay a foundation for a future dissertation, or even win a prize. You can team up with one other person to enter the contest. High school and college students are eligible to participate in the competition. Exceptional entries in each category will have the chance to present their work at the Cyber Security and Awareness Fair based on the quality of their abstract and poster drafts. Initial entries include an abstract and poster draft image. Those chosen for the final competition must upload their 5-8 minute presentation on or before October 14 and attend the event on October 17 with their final poster presentation printed and mounted.

Call for Faculty Participation Submission Deadline September 22

The Cybersecurity and Awareness Fair (CSAF) committee invites faculty researching cybersecurity and artificial intelligence to showcase their work by tabling at this year's event on October 17, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Cal Poly Pomona Bronco Student Center. Tabling at CSAF is a dynamic and interactive way to engage people interested in Cybersecurity and AI by discussing one's research with an audience of 650+ attendees. Further, your tabling complements the event's interactive demonstrations presented by Cal Poly Pomona's student clubs, including WiT, SheCodes, FAST, ./Script, and Chaffey College.

All skill levels of cybersecurity research are welcome, but participants must be affiliated with an accredited educational institution. CPP faculty and faculty from other colleges and high schools are encouraged to apply.

Format:

  • For those accepted to table, a location will be provided, including a table, chairs, and power.
  • Faculty present their findings to a broad audience, including high school students, college students, and industry experts.
  • Faculty are responsible for presenting their research findings using posters, digital displays, or handouts to engage with attendees. (The CSAF committee does not reimburse for costs)
  • A boxed lunch will be provided.

Submission Form and Deadline:

The CSAF committee will choose faculty research topics based on the entries' quality and qualifications. Their decision is final. The submission deadline is September 22, 2024.
