GCS Services
For those projects that cannot be accomplished in-house due to time, volume, or special equipment requirements, Graphic Communications Services is currently providing a full service brokering program. We will assist interested customers in job planning, layout, paper and ink selection, develop project bid specifications, solicit price quotes from commercial printing companies, evaluate services and quotes received, prepare necessary campus purchase order documents and follow-up through job completion and delivery.
At present, Graphic Communications Services maintains a database of several commercial graphic arts service providers ready to assist us in completing virtually any printing, binding or publication finishing request. For additional information regarding graphic reproduction brokering services or to initiate a project, please contact: Gabrielle Miani, Interim Manager, Graphic Communications Services.

In consultation with your staff, Graphic Communications Services will prepare draft design layouts and offer recommendations regarding the use of ink color(s), paper, fonts, photographs and artwork, publication dimensions and folding, and binding options.
To begin planning for your project at the initial meeting it is helpful if you are prepared to discuss and provide the following: Target Audience (e.g., prospective students, campus faculty and staff, alumni, etc.) Project Theme (if applicable) Publication Purpose (e.g., information, marketing, data collection, etc.) Publication Due Date, Anticipated Project Funding Source, Special Budget Considerations. Graphic Communications Services provides a comprehensive photocopying service center to support the academic, administrative and student organization needs of the campus. The photocopy center utilizes state-of-the-art equipment capable of producing large volumes of work in a short time on a variety of paper stocks and sizes.
Our current compliment of photocopy equipment can run all normal weight papers from 20 pound bond through 90 pound index in the following standard sizes, 8-1/2" x 11", 8-1/2" x 14", and 11"x 17". In addition to simple black image photocopying and color copying we can produce tabbed indexes, corner and side stapled sets, tape bound booklets, carbonless multi-part sets, and transparencies. For those projects that require either 2 or 3 hole punching, folding, special binding, padding or other special finishing services, our in-house bindery section is ready to assist you.
Graphic Communications Services photocopy center consists of two principle functions to meet your particular needs: Standard Photocopying Services and Quick Print Services. Each of the two service areas have exactly the same capabilities to produce finished projects and only differ in that Quick Print Services is a full charge rapid copy service. Quick Print program guidelines are as follows:
All basic photocopying projects of 2000 or less impressions copied on GCS stocked materials will be completed within 24 hours of receipt.
There will be a cost per copy charged for all copies produced. Projects that are of larger volume than guidelines provide or require special paper or handling will need additional time to complete.
