Financial Aid Information

Congratulations on joining Cal Poly Pomona! We're thrilled to have you here and are excited to  help you navigate the financial aid process as you embark on your graduate journey. While finding funding for your graduate studies may seem like a challenge, rest assured it's easier than you think. There are many sources of financial support available to you, including Cal Poly Pomona, the federal government, state agencies, employers, and academic departments.

Graduate student financial aid falls into three main categories:

  • Grants, Scholarships, and Fellowships: This is "free money" that you don't need to repay once you complete your enrollment.
  • Loans: Funds provided by the federal government or private lenders that you'll repay after graduation.
  • Earnings: Wages from research, teaching, or other work you do during your enrollment.

We encourage you to explore all available funding opportunities so you can maximize your grants and scholarships, while minimizing your loan obligations. A great first step is to review the information on these pages to learn about the financial aid options and how to apply.

We're here to support you every step of the way in financing your graduate education at Cal Poly Pomona. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out - we're excited to help you succeed!
