Bio

Dr. Zeynep G. Aytug is an Associate Professor of Management and Leadership, and a business consultant at the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Dr. Aytug has over 15 years of experience in managing a variety of business, research, and service projects. Following her corporate career in Human Resources, Dr. Aytug transitioned into academic world to develop future managers and leaders. She studies and teaches conflict management, managerial skills, cross-cultural interactions, and negotiation skills, with the aim of enhancing individual and organizational performance, creativity, and leadership skills.

Her work has been presented at the Academy of Management, International Association of Conflict Management, Southern Academy of Management, Eastern Academy of Management, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology conferences. Dr. Aytug has published in Organizational Research Methods, International Journal of Conflict Management, International Journal of Intercultural Relations, and Thunderbird International Business Review among others. Her collaborative research on bicultural negotiators has been a winner of Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence, and was featured in the Psychology Progress series.

She is the two time winner of the CBA's 'Management & Human Resources Faculty of the Year' award (2019-2020) and has been nominated for the Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2019-2020. In November 2024, she has been awarded for “outstanding achievement” at the Decision Sciences Institute Annual Conference for her collaborative publication on an experiential class project designed for post-pandemic and AI-driven era.
