I am an Associate Professor at the department of Physics and Astronomy at California Polytechnic University Pomona. I did my undergraduate in applied physics and master's work in theoretical particle physics. I earned my PhD in Physics from University of Minnesota Twin cities in 2013, focusing on Physics Education Research (PER). After that, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the PER Group at University of Colorado Boulder. I joined the department of Physics and Astronomy at Cal Poly Pomona in 2015. My research background is investigating problem solving, assessment development and validation at both the introductory and upper-division level.
