Research Interests
This lab studies the molecular mechanism underlying the regulation of metastasis. Currently, we focus on the role of epigenetic modification, specifically, the ubiquitination and deubiquitination of histone H2A, in regulating the migration and invasion of breast cancer cells. This project is supported by a fund from NIH.
The video above shows our finding that if the activity of deubiquitinase USP16 is impaired, the chromosome alignment during mitosis is significantly affected, which may ultimately cause cancer.
