About Me
Dr. Anne Cawley is an associate professor of Mathematics and Statistics at Cal Poly Pomona (CPP). Her research in Mathematics Education relates to issues of diversity, equity and inclusion. Her work investigates classroom experiences of historically underrepresented and minoritized students, math instruction in the first two years of college, and professional development for mathematics faculty towards equity-minded teaching practices.
Anne is the course coordinator for co-requisite mathematics courses: Stretch College Algebra (MAT 1051/1052), Co-requisite College Algebra (MAT 1055), Stretch Introductory Statistics (STA 1201/1202), and Co-requisite Survey of Mathematics (MAT 1910). During summers, she is the Early Start Math Coordinator for the Early Start program at CPP, specifically supporting the Bronco Scholar's Program. She is also a faculty liaison to the Bronco Dreamer's Resource Center, and a trained ally to the Pride Center and Veteran's Resource Center.
Dr. Cawley received her PhD in Educational Studies (Mathematics Education) from the University of Michigan. She received her Masters and Bachelors degrees in Mathematics from California State University, Long Beach.
