Equitable Searches
Diversity and inclusion are inherent to organizational excellence. Environments where colleagues of various backgrounds can collaborate promotes innovation and moves the university forward which in turn supports student success.
The CPP faculty search and staff recruitment processes play critical roles in the university’s ability to successfully recruit and hire the best talent which is essential for CPP’s pursuit of continued operational excellence. To ensure that hiring managers and search committee members are adequately prepared for this important work, the following stakeholders are required to attend an EEO compliance training:
- Hiring managers for staff recruitments
- Search committee members for MPP III and IV recruitments
- Search committee members for faculty recruitments
Additionally, below are links to various research-based best practices to ensure equity during the hiring process. Hiring managers for MPP and staff recruitments should contact the EEO Specialist at the start of their recruitments for consultation on EEO requirements and best practices.
