Network Analyst

Classification Standard and Description

Quoting the Standard:

Design, installation, ongoing analysis, administration and/or control of voice, data and video networks and/or distance learning technologies.

At Cal Poly Pomona:

This employee works on the campus voice or data network, not only via the network. Determines needs, configures and installs equipment, designs and tests modifications, monitors performance. Does not typically interact directly with end-users, but is highly likely to interact with the broad range of campus IT-support personnel in the other classifications.

A bachelors level degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information systems, Engineering or a related field. A bachelors level degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field with relevant experience totaling two years full-time or the equivalent part-time. A bachelors level degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field with four years full-time relevant experience.
