Why Give
The College of Letters, Arts and Social Science relies on the generosity of alumni, faculty, staff, corporations, foundations, and friends. It is only through their support that we advance the level of service we provide to our students as they enrich communities through the pursuit of humanities, social sciences, and performing arts.
Areas of support include (but are not limited to):
- Facilities and equipment play a vital role in meeting our educational mission. We continually work to improve and strengthen our existing infrastructure and facilities to provide improved teaching, learning, and outreach.
-
The CLASS Excellence Fund and department-specific Excellence Funds provide the flexible funding the college and departments need to implement innovative ideas, meet its highest priority needs, respond quickly to emergencies, and invest in areas of the highest potential.
- Scholarships create opportunities for all students to have equitable access to quality education without the burden of financial stress.
- Experiential Learning Opportunities may include community service, service-learning, undergraduate research, study abroad/away, and internships. Offering students paid opportunities makes a career-changing impact rather than working at an organization that is unrelated to their coursework.
