English Minor
The English Minor is a flexible program of frequently-taught courses easily scheduled with your major courses. Take the Introduction to Literary studies, two lower division electives, and three upper division electives—all literature, all the time.
The English minor furnishes you with the analytic and writing skills employers seek, as well as the knowledge of culture expected of executives and others in leadership positions. If you plan to pursue advanced study in law, medicine, business or academia, the English minor can make you a stronger candidate for admission to competitive programs, since literature courses require frequent writing and discussion, and good written and verbal communication skills are an integral part of most post-baccalaureate work.
