Dr. Jing Hu

Dr. Jing Hu is a professor of marketing at Cal Poly Pomona. She received her Ph.D. in marketing from New Mexico State University. She has been conducting research in consumer decision making, branding, and cross-cultural consumer behavior. She has published widely in such journals as Psychology & Marketing, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Product and Brand Management, Consumption, Markets & Culture, and Journal of Marketing Education, as well as academic conference proceedings. She was a recipient of the “Highly Commended” Award from the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence. Dr. Hu has taught several courses including Marketing Research, Market Analysis and Control, Principles of Marketing Management, Marketing Management Applications, Consumer Behavior, and International Business courses. Prior to joining academia, Dr. Hu worked in the field of sales, international business, and marketing research. Currently, she also works as a consultant helping local businesses in need. In both her undergraduate and graduate classes, she led students to work on consulting projects for external business clients and completed many marketing and promotion plans. These have helped local businesses achieve their goals and students gain real-world experiences.
