Internships

What is an internship?

An internship is a practical, hands-on learning experience where students apply what they’ve learned in their CIS program to a real-world business. It provides students an opportunity to grow technically and improve their communication skills. If you want a professional internship, be sure to apply early.

A CIS Internship does not count towards your upper division electives. An internship class is not required for you to take an internship. Having some previous experience in an internship looks great on your resume. The company that you intern for might even hire you or give you a professional reference.
