Scott Muller

Manager – Esri, Business Intelligence

My name is Scott Muller, and I am a Cal Poly Pomona alum who has dedicated the last 15 plus years of my career to developing my skills and building a team centered on reporting and business intelligence.

I work for Esri, a software company based in Redlands, California. Our company is dedicated to providing tools to our customers that allow them to change the world. Our software centers around GIS (Geographic Information Systems) proving the ability to analyze complex data in a geographic context.

I am currently the Business Intelligence Manager for our Educational Services division. We provide reporting and analytics for software support, training, our online Esri Community, and our overall relationship with our customers.

My passion is sharing the knowledge I’ve gained to anyone who is interested in reporting and analytics. I still have a lot to learn about the subject, but I feel the best way to learn a topic is to teach it to someone else.

I’ve built my professional reputation from the ground up by focusing on learning all I can about data visualization and data storytelling and applying that knowledge to a structure and set of processes to provide insights that allow the groups we support to transform their business based on data.
