About Us
The College of Business has a long history of quantitative and qualitative research into business problems. As technological innovations occur, the curriculum of the college has evolved to include statistics, predictive and prescriptive analytics and to build hands-on experiences for student teams. Through industry projects led by faculty, students gain expertise and industry strength experience figuring out how to use data to develop actionable insight to business problems.
In 2018, a generous donation to the College of Business Administration made it possible to launch the Singelyn Center for Innovative Analytics as a collaborative hub for innovative education, industry partnerships and applied research. The Center officially launched in November of 2018.
The Singelyn Center for Innovative Analytics has a Visual Analytics Lab (164-1090), with capabilities for Geographic Information Systems (ArcGIS), Advanced Visualization (Tableau), Social Media Analytics Tools, Programming (Python, R), and Augmented and Virtual Reality. The Center has established an advisory board to work with students and guide the center on its pursuit of innovative education and industry collaborations.
