Innovation Orchard Bears Fruit for Entrepreneurs
After years of planning, Cal Poly Pomona’s new production lab, designed as an entrepreneurial incubator to turn bright ideas into market-ready realities, is getting down to business. Innovation Orchard at Ganesha High School is a production lab and meeting space for budding entrepreneurs.
Former Foster Care Student Dedicates Academics and Career to Others
Ashley Keasey learned maturity at an early age, helping to care for her five siblings until entering the foster care system at age 15. She found school and learning as a pathway to empowerment during this time.
Food for Life
The Sustainable Agriculture Training program, a partnership between Cal Poly Pomona and Archi’s Institute of Sustainable Agriculture, covers hydroponics, soil biology and greenhouse management. In addition, the program emphasizes problem-solving, leadership, and business plan development and implementation. The program has drawn many veterans and current military members preparing to return to civilian life, particularly those with ties to military installations in San Diego County.
