Employee Training
Federal law requires all colleges and universities that participate in federal financial aid programs to train their faculty and staff on how to recognize sexual misconduct, report incidents to campus authorities, and prevent sexual misconduct from occurring in the first place. In addition to the federal mandate, CSU Interim Policy requires all California State University (CSU) employees to complete the online CSU Sexual Misconduct Prevention Program Training, also known as Gender Equity and Title IX, on an annual basis. This course provides state-specific legal definitions of sexual violence, and describes victim protections, bystander intervention strategies, and school disciplinary proceedings.
In addition to this annual requirement for all CSU employees, supervisors and non-supervisors are required to participate in an CSU's Discrimination Harassment Prevention Program every two years. The supervisory version is assigned to those who have an M80 status. Additionally, supervisors must stay on the training for at least two hours. Non-supervisorial employees do not need to complete additional trainings and are required to be on for at least 60 minutes. Please plan accordingly. If you leave before the required time, you will not get credit for the training. For more information for Supervisors, please visit the link to AB 1825 here.
To check if you are in compliance with CSU policies, please visit SumTotal and log in with your BroncoName and BroncoPassword. Under the Assigned Learning tab, you will see the trainings that have been assigned to you.
If you are uncomfortable with the material and prefer an alternate training, please contact our office at (909) 869-4646. If you experience technical difficulties with the training or assignment platform, please contact CPP Learning at cpplearning@cpp.edu.
Staff from the Office of Equity and Compliance conduct trainings on an as-needed basis for campus departments, classes, student organizations and other groups on campus. To request a training, please fill out the form linked below and email it to office officeofequity@cpp.edu.
