CPP Establishes Funds to Support Students and Employees Affected by the Fires

The wildfires in the Los Angeles area have had a devastating impact on many members of the Cal Poly Pomona family, including students and employees.
The university and the Bronco community at large are looking for ways to help those facing severe losses. CPP has two funds to assist those in need.
- The Broncos Care Basic Needs Initiative supports CPP students in crisis, general needs as well as those impacted by the fires, via the Care Center.
- The Bronco Employee Relief Fund is a newly established fund that provides crisis support to employees. It is a general crisis fund, so it will be useful long after the wildfires have passed.
The aim of the support is to uplift Broncos in need and help the community recover.
President Soraya M. Coley asks the campus community to support each other in these unprecedented times.
“My heart breaks for those in our community and our region who lost their homes, their children’s schools, their places of worship, the parks they walked their dogs, their places of respite, rejuvenation and much more. These fires took so much from our neighbors and loved ones, but they did not take our resolve. We will rebuild together. I urge you to help in whatever way you can, however you can. Hand in hand, we will help heal the tremendous suffering so many are dealing with,” President Coley said.
