Hosted by Innovation Incubator, the 7th Annual PolyX Showcase will provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate how they have applied the university’s learn-by-doing philosophy in practical, real-world contexts.

The event, set for Thursday, Nov. 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Ursa Major and Ursa Minor, will spotlight an impressive range of interdisciplinary projects, from engineering prototypes and architectural designs to innovative business solutions and impactful community service initiatives. Each project represents the culmination of rigorous academic work and hands-on experiences, highlighting how students are translating classroom knowledge into tangible outcomes.

Ericka Olguin, director of Innovation Incubator, shared the importance of the event, emphasizing the value of community involvement.

“The PolyX Showcase is a culmination of months of hard work, creativity, and dedication,” Olguin said. “It’s an opportunity for the campus community to witness firsthand the innovative projects our students have been working on and how they are applying their classroom knowledge to real-world problems. I encourage everyone to come out, engage with the students, and celebrate their achievements. Your support is invaluable to their success.”

In addition to showcasing student talent, the event serves as a key networking opportunity. Students will have the chance to connect with the CPP community members, creating meaningful connections that can propel their careers forward. The PolyX Showcase also highlights the power of experiential learning, underscoring the university’s commitment to preparing students for professional success through immersive, hands-on projects.

The entire Cal Poly Pomona community is invited to attend the PolyX Showcase to support the students and engage with their groundbreaking projects. Whether you’re a faculty member or fellow student, the event promises an inspiring look at the next generation of leaders and problem-solving.
