Cal Poly Pomona Hospitality Management Program No. 6 in the World

The Cal Poly Pomona Collins College of Hospitality Management has been ranked No. 6 in the World on the “2024 Best Hospitality and Hotel Management Schools” by CEOWorld Magazine. The college is the only California program in the top 10.

Hospitality management is a dynamic field that requires a blend of managerial skills, customer service expertise, and industry knowledge. A career in hospitality management offers opportunities for growth, creativity, and interaction with people from diverse backgrounds, making it an exciting and rewarding profession for those passionate about delivering exceptional experiences. Career paths include lodging and resort management, restaurant management, travel and tourism, event planning, and recreation and leisure, among others.

Students in the Collins College receive a unique industry-focused education with opportunities to apply knowledge from the classroom to real-world situations and gain the experience needed to thrive in diverse roles as future hospitality industry leaders.

Celebrating its 50th year, the Collins College boasts an 87 percent job placement and continuing education rate and is a direct pipeline into the richly diverse markets of the greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas.

To compile this ranking, CEOWorld surveyed 286,000 graduates, industry professionals, employers and recruiters in 108 territories. Management programs were evaluated on “seven major metrics of quality and reputation”­ - perceived global brands influence, recruiter responses, academic reputation, employer feedback, job placement rate, admission eligibility, and specialization. Hospitality management programs at 118 institutions were reviewed.
