Giving Day: Help Students Achieve Their Dreams of Success

Giving Day Cal Poly Pomona

Get ready to make a difference in the lives of students.

Cal Poly Pomona's 10th annual Giving Day - an online fundraising event where the university community comes together to support student success - takes place April 19-20. Donations can be doubled during the 36-hour event with gift matching made possible by generous donors.

CPP students are dreaming of their futures, and starting Wednesday morning, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and friends of the university will have the opportunity to start turning students' dreams into reality. Donations can be made to a variety of causes, from CPP's Rose Float to Student Innovation Idea Labs to CPP Tamanna, the university's Bollywood dance team, and more.

"Giving Day is an important event where all Broncos can come together and support our students' futures in a variety of different ways," said Catherine Quirk, leadership annual giving director. "And many thanks to our Giving Day Ambassadors - they've gone above and beyond in raising awareness about the need to support programs that directly aid students across campus. We hope you will heed their call to make a difference in students' lives."

This year's Giving Day campaign will include a social media challenge component - where participants can win up to $500 for their program of choice by sharing a Polaroid-inspired photo or short video of the dreams they pictured for themselves when coming to CPP and including the hashtag #CPPGivingDay. Each runner up in the challenge will receive $100 to donate as well.
