Are you experiencing FOMO (fear of missing out) when it comes to activities on campus you haven't done or sites you haven't seen yet? If the answer is yes, you aren't alone. Your college years are a busy period in your life. With classes, work, extracurricular activities, and other responsibilities, sometimes it can be hard to keep up with everything that is going on around us.

However, it's important to seize the opportunities and resources that the Cal Poly Pomona campus offers and also explore our on-campus gems. We compiled a list of the top must-dos at Cal Poly Pomona before you graduate. This list of 10 is part one, just to get you primed for more adventures and activities to come.

We hope this list will help you prepare for navigating life after graduation, create memories that will last a lifetime and to simply have fun!

1. Enjoy a Meal at The Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch

For quality food and excellent guest service, dine at the RKR. The menu features fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs from the garden outside its restaurant, which is maintained by Don B. Huntley College of Agriculture students and harvested by hospitality management students. In addition, the restaurant is operated and managed by hospitality management students, which encompasses CPP's learn-by-doing philosophy. The RKR will reopen for Fall 2022 semester on Sept. 14.

2. Attend a Play

Support our members of the Department of Theatre and New Dance by coming to one of their shows. After nearly two years of virtual performances due to COVID-19, the department finally performed in person this past spring. More in-person performances are expected, so keep an eye out for the next show.

3. Root for the Home Team

Cheer on our student athletes by coming to a game. The best part is that attending games is free for students, staff, and faculty with Bronco ID. Our student athletes compete in a wide range of sports, including soccer, volleyball, track and field, basketball and baseball. Cal Poly Pomona participates at the NCAA's Division II level in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

There are so many benefits to getting a job on campus. Working on campus is a great way to meet other student employees and connect with campus staff, faculty and leaders. You can also develop essential skills that will prepare you for the workforce after graduation. Plus, you can design a work schedule around your classes. Apply for a campus job on Handshake.

6. Take a Selfie with Billy Bronco

Billy Bronco, our university's mascot, has made students, faculty and staff smile at various events such as sporting events, orientation, Welcome Week, club fairs and more. He is an icon. Next time you see him on campus, say hello and ask to take a selfie together.

7. Climb the Rock Wall at the BRIC

One of the most popular activities to do at the BRIC is rock climbing. At 51 feet, it is one of the tallest climbing walls in the CSU system, and it is fun and challenging for people of all levels of experience. Check out this website to find out how you can become the next Bronco to climb your way to the top.
